I have gotten about 5 stop error messages in the last 6 weeks which all have
been sent to MS. The other thing that is happening is when I am working on
word or in another program my screen goes black and it is telling me that I
have a device driver problem and then it will reboot on its own. I am unable
to copy or print this screen so I can't tell it verbatim. I am a novice but
I do know that since I installed SP 2 I have slow connection to my cable and
keep getting these 2 errors. I also do not know how to check device drivers
to see if in fact they are bad or what. Any and all help would be greatly
appreciated! Lenelan

Hi

Could you please post the Stop Code(s) from the BSODs? Have a look in the
Event Viewer to see if there is an entry that may point towards the Word
problem:

From Start>Run type

eventvwr.msc

then click on 'Application' in the left hand column.

Hi Will - I did what you said but what it show is a Red X - application hang
- category (101) event 1002. Is there something else I should do? Please
advise. Lenelan

I checked another error it is for truevector engine. Please tell me what
this is for and why I have a lot of those also. Thanks, Lenelan

Hi

Truevector is part of the AVG virus program. Try stop/starting AVG to see
if that helps. Failing that, try uninstalling/reinstalling AVG.

Thanks, will do that. What about the stop error messages I get and the black
screen that scrolls thru and reboots on its own then tells me that a device
driver is bad. How can I check this? Thanks!
