I have a pc running XP Home sp2. It keeps crashing and giving a blue screen
error 0x000008e. I have tried changing the Ram. I have uninstalled the old
Dial up Modem and removing it.

I have also created a debuglog.txt file using the debugging tools for
windows and now have the file but no real idea of how to analyse things.

Can somebody give me some idea what I should be looking for in it?

If necessary, I can post the contents of the file here..

Yes, I found that site and checked out the various suggestions but none seem
to apply to the problem I'm getting..

The system crashes to a blue screen at either random times, or I can make it
crash by trying to run the some programs. It also occurs when I try and
uninstall some programs..

Did you follow the MSDN Article link?

Good, and further reading says that once you have identified the
responsible hardware at the root, you will have your solution.
