Stop Converting to Date

I have a CSV file with a field containing the grade levels of schools
(e.g., 9 - 12). I cannot figure out how to make Access STOP converting
them to dates when importing. This is making me crazy.

Sorry. It was Excel's fault. Off to the Excel group.
