XP Home just completed an update and when it rebooted it goes to a
bluescreen with the stop error c0000269.

It refers to a file c:\windows\system32\ntdll.dll occupied an address
range reseved for windows system dll's.

Any quick fixes ?
Thanks

Did you try tapping F8 repeatedly on Startup until you get a Menu. If
you can get into Safe Mode you can try a System
Restore. Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore.

I don't have any quick fixes. A quick google search comes up with a few
common items. Most people experiencing this have AMD cpu's. It may be a
problem with DEP. You could try turning off DEP and see if the problem goes
away. This is a bandaid fix and doesn't solve the problem. If turning off
DEP works there is a deeper problem with a program somewhere in the system.
See the following link for info about DEP and how to turn it off.
