Please help. When booting XP Home, I get the blue screen
with the above message. F8 does not work, the system just
keeps rebooting.

Microsoft help tells me to download this and that, but I
can't do that if I can't get into the PC. Does anyone
have a clue as to how to get the thing to boot up so I can
try to resolve the problem? Is there a magic F?? key to
press to get the thing to come up?

Thanks in advance.

This type of error is generally associated with hardware or driver issue.
Check to see if you installed any new hardware, disconnect any hardware that
is not necessary such as printers, and other peripherals. If you have
installed a new hard drive or controller this could be causing the error.
