Windows XP was randomly restarting more and more on my
computer. So I decided to reinstall XP. But everytime
setup got about 75% done with installing hardware it would
restart. I figured it was bad RAM so I brought it to a
repair shop and they confirmed that it was bad RAM. I had
256mb DDR PC 2100. I bought 256mb DDR PC 2700. Now the
setup works fine until its installing a network then I get
a stop error 0x0000008e. Could the change in RAM speed be
causing the error? Should I change the RAM properties in
BIOS to accomidate the new RAM speed? Thanks
