I have an Intel based System with a P4-3.0 Processor. It is loaded with
Windows XP Professional SP 2.

The computer runs perfect till I attempt to plug in a new HP photosmart 7760
printer into one of the computers USB ports. I previously had another HP
deskjet printer installed on this computer via the USB port which I no longer
have.

Upon doing that, the below taskbar balloon pops up stating composite device
found then I get a Blue STOP Screen with the following notes:

STOP 0x00000035 (0x86EDB258, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
NO_MORE_IRP_STACK_LOCATIONS

Whenever I plug anything else in the USB ports, for example a USB memory
card, a USB mouse or a USB NIC card, it accepts it fine with no hassles and
those USB items work.

I looked at all the articles listed for the printer problem on the public
internet, but they do not help me resolve this situation. Do you have any
recommendations.

Thank you ahead of time,

Ron Guillen

sounds like a driver problem, you said you had another printer installed
before? try uninstalling the old one, then try installing the new one.

good luck, let us know how it goes.
