'still infected'

My anit-virus system (AVG) placed an infected system file
in the 'vault'. On checking the status of this file it
is 'still infected'. A warning from AVG appears when I'm
using my pc telling me I have an infected file and to run
my AVG system. When I do it tells me know virus found.
Any advice, please!

If System Restore is being used you'll likely need to disable it, run an
updated AVG, delete, clean or rename the offending file, reenable System
Restore and reboot.
