Im still having WPA problems. I dont really feel like
talking to some guy on the 1-800 number to activate my
copy of Windows. It still wont let me activate via
internet. I dont really feel like buying another needless
copy, since im not naive. Is there another way besides
buying another key code or copy of Windows? I dont feel
like spending a penny more on XP, i already paid for it!
Im running out of options and i need another idea. I only
have 21 more days to activate this copy that wont
activate. I have my copy of XP on one computer only.
Microsoft tells me in the EULA Agreement that I just
remove it from the old, and install it on the new one. I
tried to email Microsoft to tell them that i was moving
XP to a new comp and deleting it off the old one and if
they could de-activate the key or something like that so
that when i activate it on the new comp like it was the
only one it was on (which it is the only comp its on),
but it was so hard to get e-mail support. I might be
charged for it, they said. So i forgot about telling them
and just moving it. I like to thank John and kurttrail
for their help on my post yesterday. Any more help is
greatly appricated

-Thank You :)

You don't have to buy another copy but you do have to make a phone call.
Run the activation wizard, when it asks if you wish to activate over the
Internet or by phone, choose by phone. That's the way it's done.

It takes a few minutes. Of course it won't let you activate over the
Internet if it's already been activated on a separate computer. That's the
reason for the phone call. You've already wasted more effort trying to
avoid that call than if you simply made the call.

The phone option is the only easy way left to activate your copy through
MS. Mike Solomon gave good instructions on how to do it.

If you want to create your own copy of XP with PA disabled, go to
http://tinyurl.com/iho1. In that thread in the google archive, I gave
instruction on how to create your own copy of XP with PA disabled.

It is really no problem, and takes much less time than you have spent trying
to not phone in for activation.

If you have a rude person, try again with another.
Then if you have problems ask to speak to a supervisor

If I understand right you took xp off one computer &
put on another.

Remember, do all the hardware inside and outside of the computer
first. Activation may be required again if you make several hardware
changes after activation. Just keep in mind several hardware changes
may cause you problems. One or two hardware change wont cause you a
problem.
