I am a computer idiot so please help me with beginner instructions. LOL I
keep getting white boxes with the red X. I have tried all that everyone has
told me but some I didn't even know where to start.
Thanks so much and Happy Easter,
Val

Hi Valerie, I don't know what you've already tried so I can only provide this:-

In IE, go to the Tools menu and select Internet Options.
Click on the Advanced tab.
Scroll down to the Multimedia section and make sure the box “Show Pictures†is
ticked.

other possibilities for the "No picture" / "Red X" issues:

Pictures do not appear as expected, or you receive an error message when you open an
HTML file on a Windows XP Service Pack 2-based computer
You receive a script error message when you view the HTML file in a Windows-based
program. You receive an ActiveX error message when you view the HTML file in a
Windows-based program. When you open the HTML file in Microsoft Internet Explorer,
pictures do not appear the way that you expect.

Tried this yet
Go to Start | Run and type this command regsvr32 /i shdoc401.dll After a bit
it should come back with a message that the DLL was registered. If that
doesn't fix it open regedit.exe and navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.jpg (note
the dot before jpg) For Content Type is, it should say "image/jpeg" Same for
..jpe and .jpeg HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.gif For Content Type is, it should say
"image/gif

Not so sure a self proclaimed "beginner" should be messing around in the
registry :) but if you do make sure to back it up first.
