Still cannot update windows!

Running XP home, get system recovered from serious error
on startup, received service pack q317277, tried to
install, received message update terminated, failed to
install catalog files, ran fix regsvr32.exe licdll.dll
and regsvr32.exe regwizc.dll per article q329261, tried
to reinstall update and tadah!....still won't do it!
Please, does someone know of a fix to this problem or am
I doomed to clicking "send report or don't send report"
every time I startup?.....Thanks

You can disable the send report so that you never see it.

About your other problem I have had similar problems with
updates and worked around it by deleteing the catroot2
folder (which is a catalog folder)in system32 this folder
can get corrupted,if you do this the folder will go to
the recycle bin so don't worry about it,reboot and try
the update again,windows will see that the catroot2
folder is missing and create another one. Hope this
helps.
