I have now deleted my TREND PC-Cillin Internet Security and still cannot send
any emails. However there has been a slight change now in the error
message...which now displays: The connection to the server has failed.
Subject 'kh', Account: 'mail.vr-web.de', Server: 'mail.vr-web.de', Protocol:
SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Pleeease Help me with this problem...would be very much appreciated

PS: I have set-up everything correctly...at least according to the
instructions of my email provider.

Check with vr-web.de to make sure your port and security settings are
correct. (Especially if they are not your ISP.)

Email scanning should be turned off in any anti-virus. Also exclude EML
files from the scan. It provides no
protection not provided by the regular resident protection.
Besides that, McAfee and Norton are not compatible with Windows Mail and
Outlook Express and should be uninstalled. The latest version of Trend's
anti-virus seems to be causing problems too.
