sticky problem

I have recently installed msn messenger6.I can make a
connection from the UK to Australia in audio
conversation and webcam conversation but the audio soon
breaks up until it can not be heard and the video freezes
both in the UK and Oz Both computers have 256MB ram and
use a Logitech QuickCam Pro 4000 webcam. Can anyone
suggest a solution to this problem. Thanks
