Status bar lost due to SP2 upgrade. How can I get it back?....

I had this bar at the bottom of my windows which would show many details of
info as regards files when i dragged the cursor over the file name, e.g.
size, the number of files selected, etc. I'm not sure how I got that bar in
the first place, but after SP2 it's gone.
I found this bar very useful and if I have to uninstall SP2, I would be
willing to do so...Hope i don't have to, thanks to some help from you guys

Have you tried the View menu of your folder window - Status Bar should be
checkmarked.

Ummmm do you really need our help to open the "view" menu and select "status
bar"?
 
I guess now i don't :-). It's just that it's not a menu I use very much and
didn't think to look there. Thanks for your help, anyway...
