I just upgraded from Office 2000 to 2003 last night and am
trying to get use to Outlook. I noticed that the status
bar along the bottom of the Outlook windows no longer show
the number of unopened emails present in a particular
folder. This raises an issue when I am trolling through
our SPAM filter folders for legitimate emails in that I
have no clue how many more I have to go through until I
catch up each morning. Can I turn this option back on? I
can't find a toggle for it anywhere...

Brian,

This information was removed from the Status Bar in Outlook 2003.
Unfortunately, there is no way to re-enable it.

Hope this helps.

Now that's a real pain, Greg! Any way we can get this added to the Wish List
for 2004?
