static IP addresses

I've been going along for a LONG time with a dynamic IP address in my device
that we're creating and now, just a couple of days before the customer is
here to approve it, I'm informed that it has to have a static IP address
<groan>. I'll start digging into the docs but I'm wondering if anyone can
short-circuit my learning curve and tell me what I need to do to set it up
for static IP. I only have the most basic command line support; no control
panel, no desktop, no IE, etc. Thanks for any help!

You might want to have a look at the netsh command, and include the
interface contexte component in your image also.

Larry,

Check out XPEFILE.COM and there is a component that includes a script that
sets the static TCP/IP during FBA.

Sean

Okay, I added the net shell command component (netsh), the interface context
component, and the TCP/IP utilities (so I could use ipconfig). ipconfig seems to
work to show the DHCP default settings. But when I try netsh I get:

WARNING: Could not obtain host information from machine: [XPESRA]. Some
commands may not be available.
Class not registered.

Okay, I'll check that out but I don't really need to set them during FBA, it's
okay to be able to set them after the system comes up from the command line,
if I can just get 'netsh' to work (see my other reply).

I tried searching for 'static ip' and 'netsh' and don't get anything. I tried
to register but it said I was already registered. I tried asking for my
password but it said the email wasn't what I registered with. I have no idea
what name/password I registered with nor when. Now I've used up the attempts
and have to wait until later <sigh>

hmmm.... I don't see it either. It must have been dropped at some point. It
has been around for awhile. Hiedi Linda developed the solution.
