I was wondering if I can set a static IP address on my Windows XP computer
over a infrastructure (wireless for this machine) network using Linksys
networking equipment.

If your router support static DHCP, you can also assign a static IP address
to your computer. All you have to do is, get your mac address by running
ipconfig /all and register it with your router via web management interface.
