Its actually for my brother in law in Perth (I'm in Sydney) - I do have the
same program tho. Its called "Enlite" - I presume he has a shortcut on the
desk top, as I also have, (tho I dont want mine in startup)
Assume it is a shortcut - if its not, I will explain to him how to get a
s/cut there if you think its necessary.

What's the file's name, Judy?
Is it a shortcut to the diary?

Start button>All Programs>right click Startup (on the All Programs menu)>Open.
[If window is maximized, click restore down to make window smaller.]
Right-click and hold the button down while dragging your desktop icon onto
the Startup folder window.
Let go of the button, choose Copy Here (from the pop-up menu) to leave a
copy on the Desk, or Move Here to move it completely.

Courtesy of MVP Ken Blake: "There's more than one way to do this, but the
simplest is to put a shortcut to [the application] in the folder [C:\]
"Documents and Settings\username\Start Menu\Programs|Startup".

Brother can open Windows Explorer to Enlite's program folder (e.g.,
C:\Program Files\Enlite) > Right-click on the executable > select Create a
shortcut > Drag the shortcut to ...Documents and Settings\username\Start
Menu\Programs|Startup <=this folder.

Thanks for that PA Bear, I will send the instructions over to him- they look
pretty simple, he should be able to follow it - and also thanks to St
Daniel.
