Saturday morning I turned on my XP Pro based computer and it would not fully
start up. It would get as far as the windows XP screen, then restart.
Eventually it gave me the 4 different start up mode choices (safemode....)
but it is still stuck in the start up loop. Friday the computer was on all
day and seemed to be operating fine.

Any one have any ideas on how to remedy this problem?

Thanks

Hi

If you can't access Windows via any of the options you have mentioned, you
can try a 'Repair' install of XP. The following article by Michael Stevens
will help:

Will this method overwrite the existing data? I would like to retain the
information if possible.

Hi

Your files, settings and 3rd party programs should remain intact.
