I am running Windows XP. When anyone who has access to
this system logs on, the System 32 system folder comes
up. I can get rid of it, but it still pops up everytime
someone logs on. I don't see any occurrances of explorer
in the startup folder or anywhere. Any suggestions?

Greetings --

This can be caused by a blank entry, such as can be left behind by
an incomplete program removal, in the
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and/or
HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run keys.

All I know is that System32 file is VERY important and you
should not try and get rid of it. On my computer, the
fiel is either missing or corrupt somehow and I cannot
start Windows at all. I don't have any other advice but I
thought you might not know this.
