Whenever I start my computer (using Win 2000 professional), I get the black box with C:\winnt\system32\cmd.exe, and a box titled 'sex' that says, Run-time error 53 file not found.

I NEVER open email attachments and I don't surf sex sites. I've downloaded Spybot and Adalarm and used them both (no luck -- at least nothing i could distinguish); went through the registry and found a line under HKEY_USERS that included a link to "*sex.*" -- deleted it .. but it still came up.

I've read various net message that indicate this might be everything from a phone dialer to spyware to whatever. But it won't go away. Please -- can anyone help? And PLEASE be specific --- if you tell me to look in the system.ini file, for instance, tell me what to look for and what to delete

many thanks

I would recommend that you try to perform a selective startup and see if
that solves your problem. This will disable unneeded (or malicious) programs
from opening on startup. To learn more about selective startup visit:

selective startup'
