When I boot up my computer, too many programs automatically start running. How can I change this?

Firstly check configuration/options of the various Apps that auto start;
there may be an option to prevent this.
Next msconfig.exe will give access to various options to prevent this.
Be aware that if preventing auto run you may loose certain capabilities of
the Apps stoped

Be aware that Msconfig is not supplied with W2K. The one for XP works on W2K.

Get it from:-

Win98 and WinXp have MSCONFIG, but Win2k does not... be VERY
CAREFUL what you disable, or your computer may not run at all
This program does that http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml
