Startup Message!

Hello,
Despite the fact that my OS XP, is not infected with any kind of virus, ad
aware etc, at times, on start up it pauses, showing the screen with options
to start with safe mode/ normally, as some hardware or software changes were
made, (where as no such changes were made) than I click on to start normally
& it does.
My question is why does such a message get displayed?

This is not a "Clearing House" for every question in the world on XP.
If you have the number of issues you state, then you need to slow up
a bit and research on your own. A few of these "Backgrounder" type
of questions is Welcome, but you've reached the point of over doing it.
Also, we've seen the Apologetic signature for a few weeks now - so I
think it would be OK to drop that in future postings.

And Yes, I am sometimes acerbic and harsh - but generally only when
it is in order.

If you don't mind my adding my 2 cents, I think it's the best Windsows XP
book.
