startup hangs on blue Welcome Screen

Ron

The computer gets hung up at the blue welcome screen and
will sometimes go ahead but only after many minutes. I
can hit Control,Alt,Delete and it gets unhung and
proceeds like it should. Any suggestions will be
appreciated.
