Hi,

Has anyone ever experienced something similar? Anyway,
help would be mostly appreciated. Here's my biggest
problem ever:

All of a sudden, my soundcard (soundblaster live, retail)
falls out of the socket in the motherboard. Even though
there's no error prompting, I quickly shut Windows XP
down, put the soundcard back in, and press the start
button on my cabinet.

The computer sounds as if it is starting up correctly,
but my monitor doesn't start. Now, on the network, I
can't access my computer, I can hear that it indeed is
on, but none of my shared folders can be accessed
anymore. I tried with a diffrent monitor, still there's
nothing to display. Only message when I turn the monitor
on is "No signal input". I'm starting to think it has
something to do with my graphic-card (G-force 3).

Please help - it all seems very hopeless right now.

Electra;
Do you have a desktop machine? Did you drop it from a great height?
Earthquake? Tidal wave? Do you have tidal waves in Denmark? Whatever
happened to make your sound card suddenly fall out of the slot, would probably
cause other problems as well. I would shut down, turn off and un-plug the
machine. Check to see if anything else is suddenly going to fall out or come
un-plugged or otherwise fly away from your machine. Like your Graphics card ,
for instance. Did a large truck run into your building?
Let us know. I am terribly interested in what you find out.
Wes
