Startup disk check

Everytime I startup, Windows always runs a disk check on one partition of one
of my disks. (This check comes up after the boot screen and before the login
screen.) It says it's checking for file system consistency, but it never
finds anything wrong. Is there something I'm missing? I was thinking that
maybe there was a system file that is always flagging that particular
partition for a check, but I'm not sure how the mechanism works.

If you are sure the disk is OK, then you can turn off the check (assuming
you are using NTFS) Open a command prompt and type chkntfs/? this will give
you the options.
