I believe he is asking a question I've had for years. How do I dhange the
default folder Explorer opens up in. Mine opens in my My Documents folder if
I run explorer.exe. If I right click on Start and select explore it opens in
my Start Menu folder.

Open Explorer at the C: Drive - from Will Denny

Go to Programs>Accessories - right click on the Windows Explorer icon,
select Properties and type or copy/paste the following into the Target
box:

%systemroot%\EXPLORER.EXE /e,c:

You can also create a Desktop icon for Windows Explorer with the same
command.

If you want explorer to open to your c: drive, change the shortcut to:
%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /e,c:\
