Startup and MS exchnage settings?

I want to use outlook for the calendar and contacts folder.

when I start it up it loks for,MS exchange settings. What is this?

I have NTL cable modem , winxp

Can anyone tell me how to set it up please?
 
You'll need to remove the reference to the Exchange Server here: Control
Panel > Mail applet

What version of Outlook are you using?
 
Outlook 2000 SR1
WinXP

When I start outlook it comes up with a dialog box to choose profile. 'MS
exchange settings'

I have oexpress setup for email with a number of email accounts.

How do I set it up without the exchange server ?

Open Control Panel's Mail applet and configure the mail profile there.
