Hi all,

Can't find "startrom.com" in the "Windows Embedded" directory.

Tried installing the remote boot service, but no Downloads directory
appeared.

Can someone please email this file to me? ([email protected])

Hi greg,

If you have installed everytihing it should be in folder like:
:\Program Files\Windows Embedded\Remote Boot Service\Downloads\startrom.com

Is this perhaps XPe version downloaded from net?

Nope. Its the full version.

I didn't install the remote boot service at the time I installed
everything else. Installing the remote boot service now did not create a
download directory, but did create the "remote boot service" directory.

Found the problem. Microsoft document that TFTP can only be installed on
a server operating system (not pro or home versions). As I am running XP
Pro, I did not install TFTP. Installing it today created and populated
the download directory.

Are you sure about that?

I am running XP Pro here and have been able to install (and use) MS TFTP server on it.
The service is running just fine.

Check out the doco on the Microsoft web site. It installed and runs
fine, but MS says that it only works on Server...

Tried to find the link again, but can't seem to locate it...
