Hello,

I'm currently having a performance problem in Windows XP SP2.

If i want to start any application, by clicking on a file, like for
example: clicking on book1.xls (for opening Excel), the application
will start VERY slowlly.

On the other hand, if a star the application using the Start>Program
Files>Application , the appplication start normally.

I thimk it is a problem related to the association between the file
extensions, and the application to use.

By the way, if I try to delete a file, it will also take some time,
before asking if I'm sure....

Don't Know how to solve it...any ideias?

Joao,

See if a shell extension is causing the problem:

(Ignore the Title and symptoms)
