I want to be able to automatically start Acrobat reader right away after
I log on, with correct documents opened. What command switches are
relevant for this move?
Thanks

What does '...with correct documents opened..." mean?

Like some PhD thesis I have been reading and e-books I am after etc

So you plan on changing this 'startup script' or 'startup command' manually
very often?
After all - you will have to tell Adobe Acrobat (which is NOT a Microsoft
product and does *not* come with Windows XP) what files to open.

Path_to_Acrobat\Executable_for_Acrobat Path_to_File\File_to_open

Or, something (possibly) like:

"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe" "c:\techdocs.pdf"

Drag and drop a shortcut to the file in question, into the Startup
folder on Start, Programs. (adjust as necessary for new documents)
