every time i start my computer i get the error message "c:\program
files\common files\microsoft shared\web folders\ibm 00003.exe if any one
could shed some light on the subject i would be eternally grateful, i am
running xp with service pack 2

ibm 00003.exe is an invader trojan. You probably already removed it, and the
command to start it is left over. I would remove that with Autoruns.
