Recenetly up graded to win 2000. At start up we get a DOS
like screen asking to choose: micro win 2000 or mico win
2000 or micro win after 30 sec win 2000 pro starts and
runs fine. How do you remove this annoiance? and get to
normal start up screen. Anyone? Anyone?
 
This is normal when you have installed w2k along with the
older operating system, rather than an upgrade, or you
installed in a seperate partition leaving the previous OS
installed. You can alter the boot.ini to remove mention
of the previous OS.

you can do that or just boot into win2k, right click my
computer, click properties, click advanced, click startup
and recovery.. uncheck "display list of operating
systems".. thats it.. make sure "microsoft windows 2000
pro/server" /fastdetect is selected in the drop down
menu.. fixed done no reading lol..
