start up problem

I have windows xp sp2 edition and i have asked before and fixed the problem
but i cannot find my post so i will ask again . When i start up and where it
should ask for password it is not doing it it just start up straight away
what steps do i do to fix the problem can someoone help please

Go to Start> Control Panel> Users Accounts
Inuser accounts click on change an account, click the user you wish to set a
password for, then click on create a password.

Make your password then save it apply and ok out of user accounts, reboot
and see if this resolves your problem.
