When I click START. I have a bubble window off of the "ALL Programs" link
that states "New Programs Installed" I do not recall installing anything new
and this is not going away. It keeps displaying....How do I get it to stop
popping up or how do I find out what new program was installed?

New programs are usually highlighted when the feature is on it can be taken
off under properties on the start button

TY XP_WARLORD. I do not see anything highlighted in the start-up programs
menu... That is one o fhte reason I was asking how can I locate waht
program(s) were installed..... Any other suggestions on how to discover what
has been installed?

Newly installed programs will not be alphabetized on the Start Menu until
you right click and select Sort By Name.

Right click the start button | Properties | Start Menu tab |
Customize button | Advanced tab | UNCHeck:
Highlight newly installed programs

Highlight newly installed programs...
[[Specifies that a new program installed on the computer is highlighted with
a different color in the All Programs list.]] You also get the balloon on
the Start button.
Any other suggestions on how to discover
what has been installed?

Most programs are installed in Program Files. Try this.
Navigate to C:\Program Files.
In Details View, click the Date Created column header to sort by Date
Created.
Look for the newest entries.

OK Took your advice and just UNchecked. When it was checked however. and I
got the New Programs installed, nothing in the list was highlighted... So I
was wondering what was installed since nothing was highlighted....and the New
Programs Installed message woudl not go away.....

Thank you for the help....
