After I installed a certain program, each time the computer starts up the
folder where this program is installed opens. I would like to get rid of
that, but I have not been able to find out how to do that.

Any suggestions?

If you go to
START / PROGRAMS and choose START UP You will have a list
of all the Programs that the computer will automaticaly
start up when you power up. Right click on the program
that don't want to star and choose delete.

I subsequently, out of curiosity, started W2K pro on many
other computers with boot logging enabled and found that
every one of them had some driver or the other not loaded.
My question is does anybody in this forum know how to get
W2K not try to load them? Somewhere in the registry ,
maybe?
