When my Win XP Pro starts up, once every day there is an error message. I
hear it with one of Windows sounds during the welcome screen and its there
once the desktop wallpaper loads. It happens the first start up each day but
not on later start ups. It reads, Windows cannot find the file "Copy". It
may have been moved or deleted, BLAH.......BLAH......BLAH How can I find
out what is causing this error?

I've been getting the same exact message! Is there
anyone out there who can help??

BLAH.......BLAH......BLAH How can I find
Google Groups Is Your Friend(tm). The "copy error on startup" problem
has been covered many times in this newsgroup over the past few months.
Here are troubleshooting steps:

"The "copy" problem when starting Windows is apparently caused by
spyware - Winshow. Open regedit and find "winshow" and delete any key
found. Repeat search with "winlink". Then search on the hard drive
for .dll files that are winshow.dll and winlink.dll and delete. Reboot.
Be extremely careful in the registry. In fact, you might want to run
the spyware removal tools Spybot Search & Destroy from
(www.security.kolla.de) and Ad-aware (www.lavasoftusa.com) first. Be
sure to update those programs before running them. It is preferrable to
run the removal tools in Safe Mode.
