Hi There,

Having difficulties finding any info on a couple of error
messages I keep getting on Boot.

They are "ieby.exe has encountered a problem" etc etc
& "apivn.exe has encountered a problem" etc etc.

Been searching the Net looking for any definitions of
what "apivn" & "ieby" are. Both these error messages
appear 3 or 4 times and I have to click "do not send" in
order for windows to continue loading.

Any info on either of these would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,
Cyberman : )

I noticed you didn't include spyware scans for those free
downloads to help with everything they promise but don't
tell you about startup programs and registry items that
fool with your pc. If you don't have reliable spyware
removal, you can it with spybot free at :

http://www.net-integration.net/index.php?
page=spybotsd#clean

I suggest you run the spybot scan. It will run awhile.
WHen finished ,clean recommended. Some entries will be in
memory. The program ask if you would like to fix at next
boot up. Reply yes

It has an automatic backup so you can restore fixes.

You'll also need to remove startup registry items also ,
highjackthis is available free at:

http://www.net-integration.net/index.php?

They can help you with interpreting logs. Just follow
their instructions

Or
You delete it yourself.
Run hyjackthis. Run the scan and check box that has this:

O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [IEBY.EXE]
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\IEBY.EXE

Run the fix.

Something similar is there for apivn.exe

Hi Larry,

Cheers for that I'll give it a go but do you know what
ieby and apivn are ??
Also , I've done all the spyware checks etc and nothing
was picked up .... used CW shredder , spybot and stinger.

Cheers mate,
Cyberman
