Have lost the start button and taskbar on the opening
screen. Windows 200 pro

All shortcuts work fine. Right clicking on empty screen
does not give me access to task bar.

Pulling up from bottom doesn't work either.

What to do!!

Thanks

You probably resized it off the screen. Assuming your taskbar was at the
bottom, place your mouse cursor at or near the bottom of the screen. When
you see it turn into a vertical double headed arrow, click and drag up to
resize the taskbar.

Thanks for the quick response

THe mouse arrow does not change to double arrow as I move
to the edge of the screen. Tried all sides - but pretty
sure that the bar was on the bottom before it disappeared.

Thanks

You see your icons you said though, right? If so, then your shell is
running and your taskbar is somewhere around. :] Press Ctrl+Esc to find
out for sure which edge of the screen it's on. That'll make your start menu
pop up. After you know where it is, you ~should~ see the double headed
arrow, if the resizing is, in fact, the problem.
