Start/ Search no longer works!

Can someone please give me some idea of how to get my W2K system to
allow file searches again. When I do Start/Search for Files/Folders
nothing at all happens. I have reinstalled SP4 with no change.

Hi,

Have you tried a new Profile? Logon as another user and see if it
works then. Sometimes the Profile gets messed up. It is hard to
troubleshoot without looking at the machine.

Thanks for responding. I tried a new profile and it's screwed up the
same way. Have a friend with XP with the same problem. Looked all thru
MS website and found nothing on this. Will have to buy a 3rd party
search program to fix Bill Gate's screwup.
