Start page can't be changed

I had my start page set to Neopets.com for about 6
months. Now that I want to change it to something else,
it won't let me. I tried the usual "Tools/Internet
Options" but it keeps changing back from my new start
page to Neopets.com. I have tried all the spyware/adware
programs and removed all problems they detected. I tried
the registry changes that Microsoft web site suggested
but some of the values are not even listed in the
registry menu. I tried HijackThis and tried to delete
the R0 item containing Neopets.com, but it keeps coming
back as the start page! HELP! Is Neopets.com the
culprit? Thanx!

Probably.

You may need to remove more than just the one registry entry to get
rid of it.

Try posting your HiJackThis log file to one of the specialized forums
for discussing these logs.
