I have a problem where sometimes shortcuts for the Control Panel,
Network connection and run are not there when I click start.

After a while they seem to return.

Not a major problem but one I'd love to get rid of.

Any suggestions?

Might be worth removing a few items (e.g. My pictures etc) from the start
menu, that are, perhaps, less vital to you, to ensure there's always
sufficient space for the important ones. Right-click the start button >
Properties ...
