Hello,

How could I alter the order of the menu items in the All Programs option of
the Start menu please? Thank you very indeed.

That depends on what you want the order to be.
Alphabetically sorted by name: right click anywhere in the menu when it is
open and choose Sort by name.
You'll get them in alphabetical order, submenus first, then shortcuts.

If you want them in a specific (not necessarily alphabetical order) you
could rename the menu-items and prefix them with maybe a numeral and then
sort by name. They'll end up in numerical order, since that's the name now.

Place a number in front of each shortcut.

For example...

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\
dclean.exe
ZoneAlarm

Say you wanted ZoneAlarm to start before dclean.exe.

Change the shortcut names to read:
1ZoneAlarm
2dclean.exe

or
AZoneAlarm
Bdclean.exe
