Stand by mode

Hi there,

All of a sudden when I go to "turn off computer", the stand-by mode is no
longer an option. The icon is shaded and I can't select it. The restart
and shut-down buttons still work. Any ideas on how to get it to stand-by?

Hi Mika,
Click to expand...
Click Start, control panel, and open power options. You
will see a choice for standby mode. If this is set
to "never", you will no longer receive this choice in the
shutdown menu. Hope this helps.
