The Standby button will become available once the correct video
card/adapter drivers are installed. It will appear when you click
Start > Turn Off Computer...
Visit the support website of the manufacturer of your video card or
video card adapter, search for the latest Windows XP compatible
drivers, download and install them.
If you have a notebook computer, visit the website of the manufacturer
of your notebook computer to obtain the video adapter drivers.
Then right-click on your Desktop and select:
Properties > Setting and adjust your Screen Resolution
settings, then select "Highest (32 bit) Color Quality setting,
and click "apply".

|I recenetly upgraded to Windows XP Proffesional and now when I'm shutting down my computer "Stand By" mode is
greyed out and no longer an option. I've checked my power settings and standby is not an option nor is
hibernation. ANy help getting this back would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
