Squawking sound

avi clips that I include in a movie have squaking audio
playback. It sounds as if the 10 second avi clips audio
is compressed into the first 4 seconds.

Anyone experience this "feature"? Can it be overcome?
 
My solution is to use a program to convert the video, such as Easy Video Converter, from avi to avi, which simply changes the codec. This works!

Yes...I am experiencing the same....

I am wondering if it has anything to do with HyperThread
CPU.....
