Squashed images

I have a Mustek 1200UB, Win2k SP4.
Whenever I do a scan, I end up with a "squashed" image. I've tried to
uninstall and re-install the twain driver, but the result is the same.
Any ideas?

This is admitedly a guess. Check the scanning resolution and see if it
is set at say 1200x600 and reset it at 600x600 or similar "square"
resolution. I'm wondering if the driver is not really win2k compatible
and the physical dimensions are getting lost or reset by the resolution.
