After Downloading the trial software and ATTEMPTING to
extract it - it gets to the end of the extract and then
tells me "not enough disk space on C: to extract this
package. Free up 439.51MB and click Retry. The issue here
is I have 13GB free on this drive and open permissions to
the default folder. - Any suggestions

You can only run either SQL Server 2000 Personal or Developer Edition on
Windows XP Pro. SQL Server 2000 Standard or Enterprise will only run
on a Server version of Windows.
