Does anyone have a suggestion as to which of the spyware removal programs is the best?? I have used Spybot but it doesn't seem to get them all. I tried XoftSpy but you only get the scan unless you buy it. I prefer Free
Thank

There's no reason why you have to limit yourself to one product.
I used to use a combination of Adaware and Spybot Search and
Destroy; I ran each daily, and every day each found things the
other didn't.

A couple of months ago I installed Spyware Blaster, and since
doing so, Spybot Search and Destroy has never found anything,
although Adaware still finds an occasional tracking cookie or
two. I think Spyware Blaster is the best product, but I now
recommend a combination of it and Adaware.

I prefer Free. Thanks

All of the above are free.

You can run Adaware and Spybot as one will catch what the other misses
they are both very good programs, watch out for the updates from Adaware
at the moment as they have been coming thick and fast although they seem
to have slowed down today.

Thanks for reminding me about Spyware Blaster I forgot that one, had it on
here so long. It does a great job and it's very rare I get anything, like
you just the odd tracking cookie <g>

I run Adaware, Spybot S&D, HijackThis, and CWShredder at least once a
week -- after getting the updates (there have been no update to Spybot in
over six weeks). Spyblaster is also running in the background preventing
adware from getting in. One program is not enough, I've found. Each has
its advantages and will pick up things that the others will not.

Note that Ad-Aware and Spybot S & D should be updated with the program's
update function before each use and a new copy of CWShredder should be
downloaded. See

What is the web address for Spyware Blaster ? I believe you said it was
also free in an earlier post in this thread.

TIA
