In a way it is,Trojans install on 1000's of computers
are connecting to the site all at the same time.

I know, I read the article, too.

Trojans and spyware are not the same things.

my humble apologies - no intention to mislead. But still, I thought it an
informative news item for those interested in protecting their pc

No need to apologize - just my initial thought was "Oh NO! Now spyware
is capable of DoS attacks?! That junk soaks up enough bandwidth as it is!"

I apologize for my habit of trying to be technically accurate. I
sometimes fail miserably myself, however as a Conductor of the Portland
Community Choir said during a televised rehearsal of Handel's Messiah,
"Even if perfection is out of reach, at least keep it in view."
